The final party on Thursday night was at
Il Bottaccio in South Ken to celebrate relative new-comer to the London fashion scene,
Qasimi. Qasimi is a menswear and womenwear fashion brand designed by
Khalid AlQasimi, son of the King of Sharjah, one of the United Arab Emirates. So of course, Qasimi has a pretty big budget! Some of you might remember
my post from their SS10 fashion show, which involved
a lot of champagne...
I had never been to Il Bottaccio before, and it is a pretty stunning space for holding a party! Beautiful high-ceilinged rooms, a dance floor, a bar area... The cocktails were free flowing and it seemed like half the fashionista socialites in London had shown up:
Georgia May Jagger,
Joy Vieli,
Alice Dellal,
Pixie Geldof,
Jango James, PPQ's
Amy Molyneaux,
Jade McSorley from BNTM,
Fletcher Cowan, and Khalid himself even showed up (you'd be surprised how many designers don't go to their own parties...). I also bumped into
Delphine Hervieu who blogs at
Style Cartel and has started a collaboration with
Kristin Knox from the
The Clothes Whisperer.
As for entertainment, it started out with an all singing/dancing performance by a bizarre but highly amusing skinny boy in cycling shorts, and opened out into a dancefloor with Pixie and Alice DJ'ing. I definitely had a good time, even if I don't quite remember the end of the night...

Very descriptive article, I liked that bit. Will there be a part 2?
